I Can Smell Fear, But Respond to Bacon.
Bruce Springsteen has just released a track from his upcoming album Wrecking Ball (Amazon Link). The first song released from the Boss's 17th studio album is We Take Care of Our Own.
It's hard not to notice the absence of Clarence Clemons on the saxophone.

My former co-worker, sports writer extraordinare and friend, Steve Wilhoit, shared a vintage video video with me that I've watched over a dozen times already. The video was of Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band performing Incident On 57th Street from 1978.

All these years of listening to Mellancamp's Jack & Diane I never thought of it as tale of giving up.
"People give up too easily," he told the Blade when asked to give advice to readers facing down the prospect of losing their homes. "I've been writing about that since I was kid. 'Jack and Diane' were about kids who just quit."
Some bands were just ahead of the curve, like the Turds of Misery. The T.O.M. could have been the opening act for the Butthole Surfers, but again they were just ahead of their time.
